TISAX, which stands for Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange, is a mechanism for information security assessments and the sharing of assessment results. It was developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The goal of this framework is to standardize the methods and criteria for information security assessments of suppliers, and to allow for the sharing of assessment results among VDA member car manufacturers and suppliers. The operation of this mechanism is entrusted by the VDA to the European Network Exchange (ENX), and assessment results are published and cross-referenced within the ENX network.
